U.S. History and Geography

     

 

Course Description

This course covers the significant events, people, and ideas of U.S. History, from the discovery of the Americas in 1492 to the election of 2016. Special attention is given to the period from 1776 through the end of World War I. All the California State Standards and the Common Core Standards are thoroughly covered.

In addition, students will:

Objectives are divided into the following categories. Each category is worth 25% of the student's overall grade.

Citizenship

Citizenship grades are a measure of how well the student follows the rules of the classroom. Specifically, your citizenship grade is determined by the number of infractions that you accumulate each grading period. (An infraction is a violation of the rules).
